How do you replace the handlebar grips of an average razor scooter?

I have the handles already, but need to know how to slide them on since it is a very tight fit; and seems literally impossible. I have an average razor scooter and would like to upgrade the handles since the others were totally riping off from wear.

I can’t find how high the handlebars on a regular razor scooter can be adjusted. I’m 5’5 and not sure whether I’d be too tall.
